What do you think??

Here is the question. . What are you? An exclusivist or an inclusivist or an universalist? (all definitions come from Todd's seminary prof, Kim Thacker).

An exclusivist believes that the only way to heaven is through calling on the name of Jesus, including believing in His death and resurrection.

An inclusivist believes that the only way to heaven is through Jesus but there is a possibility that people can be saved through Jesus even if they do not call on Jesus or even know about Jesus. Example: a Native American before contact with Europe who never heard the gospel but seeks to be a good person and seeks after God can get to heaven through Jesus.

Universilits beleive that God will accept other paths to salvation when people are seeking God and/or seeking righteousness and justice.

College creation!

Hey! Greta R is creating a Creation trip for college aged people! WOOOHOOOO Let her know if you are interested.

anybody out there?

HELLO? HELlo? HEllo? hello? hello? hello?

Our Alpha group was discussing the ways God speaks to us and guides us. He uses His Spirit, Scriptures, other believers, common sense, that famous still, small voice. . .It seems like it should be so easy to hear His voice and know the direction i am supposed to take. Why isn't it that easy?? How is it that i miss what He says? Or i make a wrong choice? If i would just stop and listen. Really listen to the God of the universe. He cares enough to speak to me, to JayeZ, the maker of many mistakes. i love the verse in Joel - 2:25 to be exact. . "I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten. . " Even when i have messed up - for a long or short period of time, God always redeems and forgives. He works the bad for good. Amazing. It is all redeemed. Amen

you asked for it!

And I am trying it! Welcome to the blogspot for all of you in that 20something range - especially those connected to St. Luke's Church in Federal Way! This is one of the things some of you suggested we do to keep community and support alive as you all are in different "spots" - location - wise as well as community of faith - wise.

Let's "meet" together here. This is a place for:

Bible Study

Reflection

Encouragement

Devotion

Thoughts and Ideas

Connection

Community

We will start up a bible study/conversation in the next couple of weeks. Post your ideas on what you would like to see happen at this spot!
